  • Practical Exercises Training combines practical exercises and simulations with theory-based learning to ensure that students have the knowledge and experience to understand the kind of care a casualty requires and to implement or administer the relevant procedures and treatments. Students work with their trainers and fellow students to reenact scenes and scenarios they could encounter out on the field, which gives them confidence and an understanding of how to take a set of guidelines written down on paper and turn them into a protocol that saves lives. This kind of training is highly effective because it enables students to develop their practical skills and to get used to the kind of environments they may be operating within when their skills are called upon. As well as developing proficiency in providing trauma care and triage, training can also highlight the importance of working as a team and prepare students for real-life incidents. Under the guidance of NAEMT certified instructors, students will learn how to carry out a range of procedures aimed at saving lives and providing the best possible standards of emergency care before the casualty is able to access treatment in a hospital setting. Time is of the essence when dealing with trauma cases, and the TCCC course focuses on delivering the best results as quickly as possible to give the casualty in question the best chance of survival. To mimic the battlefield, students take part in drills that require urgent action and the ability to think on their feet.

Who is TCCC course aimed at?

The TCCC course is designed for those who want to expand their knowledge base and undertake advanced medical training to enable them to assist casualties with confidence and expertise. Training provides students with the opportunity to use evidence-based, theoretical approaches to develop practical skills, which could save lives in the field. Practical training and interactive exercises prepare students for real-life scenarios they could encounter in the future, providing them with confidence and the belief that their actions will make a positive difference. Emergency training is a vital element of the protection of serving personnel.
