A veteran of the Navy Hospital Corps, serving as a Field Medic with the United States Marine Corps, with a focus on transitioning and training civilians for military and law enforcement work. Joshua was trained first as a tactical and trauma care professional but utilized his skills as a bridge between security and policy enforcement and immediate medical care in complicated environments. After his military service Josh moved on to work for the Federal Reserve as a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer, where the finer details of law enforcement were emphasized which included a study of Lawful Arrest procedures, 4th amendment rights, and positive control techniques in sensitive environments. As a personal interest Josh studies traditional, military, and law enforcement focused combative/martial arts skills. As an instructor he practices a balanced approach towards aggressive enforcement and awareness on how that aggression relates to the immediate environment.
Joshua prides himself on being able to work with students having various levels of experience, and on being open to the unique motivations each student brings with them as they work towards expanding on their knowledge in the Security and Medical career fields.
